The post and rung ladderback is an Appalachia Icon and the Berea ladderbacks designed by Brian Boggs are among the most beautiful. Chair teacher and plan designer Jeff Lefkowitz has dedicated over a decade to perfecting this design both with plans and detailed build manuals.
These kits use a premium cherry sawn and dried to Jeff's specifications. As outlined in his build manual, the parts are bandsawn to an oversized dimension and are high-moisture, an air-dried material ideal for steam bending.
