When Quarter Sawn Eastern White Pine is the most stable wood in North America, a 12" wide board has an expected maximum movement of 1/32" over a year. The choice of Shakers and traditional casework furniture makers Eastern White Pine is the traditional plywood of handtool woodworking.
Our material is a kiln-dried rough-sawn 5/4 (1.25") thick material making it great for resawing drawer stock and box making. Widths will range 5"-9" wide and is an 80% clear material with virtually no defect.
All of our inventory is 8' in length and is sold by the board foot. All orders will be crosscut into 4' pieces for shipping. If shorter lengths yield better please specify in the order notes. If longer pieces are needed a custom quote will be needed and you can submit that request HERE
When Ordering The quantity is by the Board Foot. A bdft is 144 cubic inches so to calculate you would take the width x length x thickness divided by 144. For example, a 5/4 x6"x8' would be 1.25"x6"x96"/144=5bdft
