When Quarter Sawn Eastern White Pine is the most stable wood in North America, a 12" wide board has an expected maximum movement of 1/32" over a year. The choice of Shakers and traditional casework furniture makers Eastern White Pine is the traditional plywood of handtool woodworking.
Our material is a kiln-dried rough-sawn 5/4 (1.25") thick material making it great for resawing drawer stock and box making. Widths will range 5"-9" wide and is an 80% clear material with virtually no defect.
All of our inventory in this material is 8' in length and is sold by the board foot.
Sizes:
We only ship 6' and shorter lengths. Please specify your preferred length in the order notes, and allow for trimming to your final dimension. If you have specific width needs please specify that as well.
SHIPPING:
Shipping is not charged on checkout but is invoiced separately after your order is packed and labeled. Shipping costs can be as much as $1.50 per pound of material depending on where its going. Most pine and medium soft woods average 3lbs per board foot. If your order is over 50' board feet we will reach out to discuss shipping freight on a pallet to your door. When Ordering The quantity is by the Board Foot. A bdft is 144 cubic inches so to calculate you would take the width x length x thickness divided by 144. For example, a 4/4 x6"x8' would be 1"x6"x96"/144=4bdft
